• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Dialysis management or adminstrative experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills in face-to-face and over phone interaction settings
• Graduation from an accredited LPN school
• Assumes responsibility for maintenance, safety cleaning and disinfection of dialysis machines
• Completion of an approved dialysis technician training program
• Certified Hemodialysis Technologist/Technician from the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT)
• Some Dialysis experience preferred

• The Dialysis Tech assists patients with activities of daily living, provides supportive nursing care, performs tasks as delegated by the RN, and assists in maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Current CPR certification through American Heart Association
• Performs in-house laboratory procedures in accordance with unit's policies and procedures and State law
• Provides safe environment and promotes quality patient care through adherence to established standards
• Utilize Clinical Care system, fax machine, basic computer entry, and retrieval of lab results as necessary
• The incumbent leads a team by working with them to provide professional nursing care and coordination of nursing care and services to dialysis patients in a Long Term Acute Care facility
• Act as team leader and provides acute education to teammates in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Lead a team of three to six dialysis care givers, at LTAC facilities
