Responsibilities for Dance Teacher Cover Letter
Dance teacher responsible for both theory and practice of contemporary movement and aesthetics, including but not limited to Introduction to Dance Technique, Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Intro & Appreciations to Dance Studies, Choreography, theatre movement and composition, jazz, and improvisation.
A valid Massachusetts Teaching License in Physical Education, all levels
Knowledge of dance standards and interdisciplinary approaches to curriculum design
Experience in teaching dance and fitness to a diverse student body
Experience working with both middle and high school students
Successful experience as a dance/cheer/or pep squad director preferred
Maintains a learning conducive environment which is student-centered, focused on the curriculum, and resulting in community production
Organizational duties
Recruitment, retention and guidance of students
