Construction Carpenter Cover Letter

I submit this application to express my sincere interest in the construction carpenter position.

Previously, I was responsible for administrative direction to a multi-disciplined maintenance and engineering organization involved in the maintenance, development and structures, the design, modification and construction of facilities, and the acquisition and modification of equipment.

I reviewed the requirements of the job opening and I believe my candidacy is an excellent fit for this position. Some of the key requirements that I have extensive experience with include:

• Specialized knowledge and experience working with modular buildings, renovations and remediation
• All basic carpentry skills, cabinetry skills, office furniture and hardware skills
• Proficient in the use of all basic carpentry hand and power tools
• Assist in identifying volunteer jobs/needs not currently filled and satisfies needs with appropriate volunteers
• Understanding of property services industry preferred
• Proven carpentry experience
• Use of hand tools, such as measuring tape, hammer, nails
• Knowledge of all carpentry tools, and woodworking machines used to saw, plane, drill, or mortise lumber for doors, cabinets, shelves, molding, and related fixtures

• Install floor beams, lay sub-flooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Assist with site set up for demolition by setting up containment and air filtration
• Installation of new or repair/replacement of ceiling tiles
