Previously, I was responsible for orientation for campers on waterfront area, procedures and safety guidelines upon arrival at camp.

• Set a Christian example for the children, parents, staff and volunteers
• Develop opportunities for interaction between campers and staff
• Represent DPF 4-H Camp in initial contact with parents and campers on opening day of each session, making every effort to make campers and parents feel comfortable and welcome
• Collect cabin daily reports and review for camper issues not brought up during the day
• Assist in staff and camper assignments such as cabin assignments, staff assignments, time off
• Assist campers and staff in scheduling classes, and following the daily camp schedule
• Monitor progress of classes and reports areas of concern to the Education Director
• Oversee the maintenance and inspection of program equipment, supplies, and program sites, (including daily and end of season inventory) to ensure they are in good condition and are in safe working order

• Technical instruction in outdoor activities, including but not limited to flat water canoeing, kayaking, fishing, orienteering, hiking, swimming, teambuilding, environmental, nature, wildlife education, and other outdoor sports and activities
• Ensures the safety of all participants and groups
• Assist Camp Director, Activity Director, Assitant Activity Director, and all co-workers in technical duties related to program implementation
• Provide safety and pre-trip talks to participants before engaging in activity
