Guest and Associate opinion survey successes, Brown Palace scoring 92% on the associate opinion approval score, top 10% in the company through dramatic associate staff reductions, with improved guest scores and Trip Advisor rankings from 37th to 17th

Columbus Marriott NW / Skyline 7 properties (Columbus, OH)

Relocated to Columbus Ohio to the Marriott NW part of the Skyline 7 (seven Marriott’s, 4 in Ohio, Dallas, Hartford and Birmingham) 2016 – 2018. Coordinated the capital projects, projected best practices across all seven properties and completed major renovations of all guest rooms. Coordinated and logistics for advanced technologies including smart TV’s, HSIA, keyless locks etc.

Governor appointed to the Colorado State Tourism board, 2009-14, two term chairman 2013 & 2014, championed funding growth from 7 million to 20 million dollars, led 2014, 10 million dollar request for proposal process for Colorado’s advertising, marketing, website, publishing and digital platforms for the tourism office resulting in record growth. Initiated Key Performance Indexes for web responsive design & mobile platforms with dashboards & messaging for stakeholders across the state.

Adjunct professor teaching 24 students Hospitality Property Management #3652., This course is certified by the American Hotel Lodging Association and the formal certification for chief engineers in hotels and restaurants. The course examines blueprint reading, building construction safety, utility requirements, and mechanical systems as they relate to managing a hospitality property. Additionally, taught Human Resources #4650. This online course covered all areas of HR including legal issues, liabilities, importance to sustainability of the hospitality industry.

Sheraton Denver West / Burnsley All-Suite Hotel (Colorado)- Managed, 5 directors a General Manager and 150 associates for the Sheraton Denver West and Burnsley All Suite Hotel including sales, marketing, PR, HR, accounting & operations. Improved revenues and GOP by over 40%, $3M through the repositioning of two hotels into upper scale assets, converting the Sheraton to award winning IACC conference center and negotiating the government per diem shift from Lakewood to Denver.
