I led the strategic planning & built a culture of pride leading to a $3.1M increase in profits for this 4-diamond complex with over $46M in revenues. I established a vision, tapped into associate ideas then built best practices, mentoring 9 directors and 350 associates including sales, marketing, PR, HR, accounting & operations, building relationships and restoring community confidence through a major property transition.

Business Development rebuilding the Brown Palace sales team resulting in rooms growth of $1.6M in 2019 through deployment, pattern & pricing management and speed to market strategies resulting in the acquisition of key groups and contracts, with my direct involvement in booking 39.2k group rooms in 2019, an increase of 15k group rooms. I was personally responsible for closing $1.2M through relationships while leading marketing & public relations for iconic events.

Process Improvement at the Brown Palace, resulting in GOP growth of 23% or nearly $3.1M of additional profits in 2019 to 2018 by slashing rooms expense 12% by streamlining workflow and deployment, reducing overhead expenses 7% by negotiating fees & consolidating services while ensuring the continuation and enhancement of amenities.

Guest and Associate opinion survey successes, Brown Palace scoring 92% on the associate opinion approval score, top 10% in the company through dramatic associate staff reductions, with improved guest scores and Trip Advisor rankings from 37th to 17th

Columbus Marriott NW / Skyline 7 properties (Columbus, OH)

Relocated to Columbus Ohio to the Marriott NW part of the Skyline 7 (seven Marriott’s, 4 in Ohio, Dallas, Hartford and Birmingham) 2016 – 2018. Coordinated the capital projects, projected best practices across all seven properties and completed major renovations of all guest rooms. Coordinated and logistics for advanced technologies including smart TV’s, HSIA, keyless locks etc.

Additionally, taught Human Resources #4650. This online course covered all areas of HR including legal issues, liabilities, importance to sustainability of the hospitality industry.
