Job Description
HBC Digital is looking for an experienced, goal-oriented, digital marketing professional to oversee the affiliate channel for Lord and Taylor. A successful marketing analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the affiliate channel, including managing our affiliate agency, our top tier publisher relationships, as well as the overall affiliate budget. The marketing analyst will work directly with the Senior Manager to implement the overall affiliate strategy to drive sales, increase ROI, and improve overall brand awareness through the promotions created for the affiliate channel. This position includes all aspects of requesting and implementing promotions, including working collaboratively across internal teams (such as with the creative team and the promotions team) to execute these offers.
The role includes managing external agencies, developing new business opportunities, creating strategic/tactical proposals, managing budgets and working with cross-functional teams to meet company goals and objectives.
Qualifications
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement strategy for affiliate channel for Saks.com. This includes:
Manage and monitor daily affiliate performance (implementing course-correcting as necessary)
Serve as primary liaison between affiliate agency, publishers and Saks shareholders, communicating effectively with all parties to strategically grow the channel
Help conceptualize, launch and promote new creative, custom offers, advertising ideas and campaigns, in conjunction with Saks.com initiatives
Manage daily affiliate budget, ensuring the channel is within spend projections while maintaining a healthy ROI
Stay up to date on affiliate news such as new potential publishers, online opportunities, betas, etc.
Attached publisher events (including influencer and blogger events) as well as industry conferences in order to represent the business
Manage affiliate portion of international performance while collaborating with the international team to implement their strategy
ANALYTICS/BUDGETING
Pro-actively monitor affiliate performance, trends and projections, establishing metrics and reporting for affiliate campaigns from initial strategy through to execution and evaluation
Monitor progress toward objectives, designing reports and crafting presentations and articulating results to digital team as well as various stakeholders
Report to Senior Manager on Affiliate performance, incremental opportunities and project plan for growth on a weekly and ad-hoc basis
Own and manage all program accounting, including accurate revenue and spend reporting, and invoice remittance
REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in marketing, economics or equivalent
2-3 years experience in marketing (affiliate channel experience preferred)
Command of Microsoft Office suite (strong excel skills are necessary for reporting/budgeting)
Ability to understand and interpret numbers and ability to break down complex analysis
Highly organized with excellent writing and communication skills
