Reports to the President of the University. Recruiting for:
1. The clear, visible leader of ACU’s integration of faith into athletics. 2. A relational expert, capable of developing a broad and deep network of individuals eager to support ACU athletics. 3. A proven leader of people, capable of attracting and developing great talent as well as organizing a team toward the successful accomplishment of strategic goals. 4. A master strategist, demonstrating a strong understanding of the complex NCAA landscape and the ability to navigate it strategically.
Basic Responsibilities:
A. Initiate and administer the advancement/fundraising activities supporting the Athletics Department and auxiliary budgets. Develop and coordinate interaction with prospective donors (friends, ex-lettermen, alumni), foundations, and city, state and national officials. B. Determine the qualities for and the most efficient use of personnel; hire and train staff for each sport, in addition to athletic support staff; and supervise and motivate staff. C. Manage Athletics Director’s office; provide budget development and administration; organize and administer the intercollegiate athletic program according to the Southland Conference and NCAA guidelines D.Ensure that special events on behalf of the University and/or the Athletics Department – that are scheduled in Athletics Department facilities – are negotiated, planned and administered appropriately. E.Promote and supervise staff/student athlete relationships.
