Director of Corporate Sponsorships with Charleston Battery in Charleston, SC

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Corporate Sponsorships oversees the management and strategic direction for the Charleston Battery Corporate Partnerships department. This individual oversees contract negotiations, pricing, asset developments contractual activation, and customer service for the Charleston Battery.
Essential Functions
• Guide short and long-term Corporate Sponsorships (promotion of in-kind or financial revenue in support of organizational activity) department goals including but not limited to selling inventory.
• Responsible for Corporate Sponsorships and business development operations including budget control, capital expenditures and financial reporting
• Manage the activities of the Corporate Sponsorships department by maximizing sale appropriate goals and metrics to properly measure performance and prioritizing targets
• Identify, develop and implement elevated process and operational improvements, including innovative offers to enable best-in-class performance and management of sponsorships, service and retention effort products
• Maintain existing and develop new national and local account partnerships to further and enhance corporate alliances to maximize sales and increased revenue
• Provide leadership in negotiating new sales and renewals of Sponsorships
• Generate and design effective marketing and sales campaigns to create awareness while leveraging communications to support marketing efforts
• Measure and track impact of business and share results in a consistent fashion
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, community appearances, and game day events.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Travel
This position requires the ability to travel as needed.
Required Education and Experience
• Four-year college degree preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years related sales experience preferred
• Proven successful sales experience with client relationships and alliances
• Consistent track record of managing and renewing major accounts
• Ability to motivate others to reach goals
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects and accounts
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and organizations
• Strong leadership, decision making, relationships and negotiation skills
