Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Athletics for External Relations, the selected candidate for Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcast Operations assists in the development, production and distribution of Athletics Broadcast Productions content, and is heavily engaged in the leveraging, repurposing, and reformatting of assets created by Video Services to numerous new media delivery channels.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: logistical planning for production of in-venue and TV shows against sensitive timelines; oversight of shooting and acquisition of games, matches, interviews, sound bites, etc. towards the production of events / shows, including supervision of select staff; produce, coordinate, and execute recordings of television shows, interviews, press conferences, etc., to include directing, set-up, lighting, sound, and camera operations; and work with external operations staff towards the creation, planning, and execution of video content for various media distribution.
A bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred, in an appropriate area of specialization and eight (8) years of appropriate experience. Prefer hands-on experience producing fan engaging content for in-game video board production, coaches shows and traditional sports television programming for various sports; demonstrated experience with professional and broadcast-level video acquisition and production tools (i.e. cameras, switchers, CG's, media recorders, and editors); hands-on experience creating media for web and other new media delivery channels; and excellent organizational, attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills with proficiency on computer applications to execute and deliver completed projects within time-sensitive deadlines.
Experience with Cinema, DSLR and Panasonic P2 cameras and equipment, EditShare Server, Avid Media Composer Non-linear Editing Systems, and/or Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and other image productions software also preferred.
