Gleneagles Country Club is the prestigious and private country club of choice in Plano and North Dallas. The club offers 36 holes of golf, tennis, pool and fitness facilities and multiple dining outlets.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Summary: Candidate works as part of the Club’s Department Head Team, driving all of the marketing and communication for each of the Club’s departments including, but not limited to: Membership Sales, Member Programming, Food and Beverage, Golf, Tennis, Athletics. This person will help define the overall brand of the club through marketing and communication as well as execute a communication and messaging plan to effectively tell the Club’s story internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
• Work with marketing on all print, digital, and communication templates for the Club
• Work with the General Manager and Department Head team to craft the Club’s communication strategy in both print and digital format
• Ensure delivery of well-crafted communication strategy to current Members
• Produce marketing copy/content for websites and social media platforms
• Ensure the Club has a fun and fresh social media presence through Member Posts, videos and Department Head participation on social media channels
• Manage Member and Guest feedback through club surveys, online reviews, and Member focus groups.
• Summarize and communicate Member/Guest feedback to DH team and work with the team to create action plans for new and exciting events, benefits and overall programming aimed at increasing dues added and improving dues lost.
• Occasionally work grass-roots campaigns in the community
Requirements:
• Proven work experience as a Marketing Communications Specialist or similar role of 2 – 4 years
• Hands-on experience with web content management and social media platforms
• Great presentation skills; both written and verbal
• Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred
• Self-directed with ability to work independently
• Ability to think out of the box with a creative approach with ordinary tasks.
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Experience with more detailed capabilities of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
