St. Olaf seeks an Assistant Director for Sports Information and Marketing, a position in part funded by the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant.
The position will generate sports information or web content for 10 of the college's 27 intercollegiate sports, which includes: compilations of statistics and records, profiles of student-athletes, game/competition summaries, photography, feature video and news items. The position will oversee and coordinate efforts of student assistants who generate and/or update this information and ensure the quality of their work.
The hired intern will participate in league and association meetings, and will take responsibility for the success of several special/postseason events.
This is an entry-level, administrative, 2-year internship which is NCAA Ethnic Minorities and Women's Internship Grant-funded and goes from mid-July 2018 through mid-June 2020.

• Ability to establish skills in statistics (Statcrew), photography, digital design and video editing
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
• Ability to be a motivated self-starter
• Ability to always greet clients in a polite, courteous, and helpful manner
• Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
• Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student-athletes and parents
• Ability to work successfully independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to establish program goals and objectives that support a strategic plan
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Skill in computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability and willingness to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures
• Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet and word processing software
• Skill in editing documents for correct grammar
• Ability to deal with pressure situations
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Ability and willingness to support, respect and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community including faculty, staff, students and constituents

Additional Salary Information: Full benefits. $3,000 in professional development per year.
