Atlantic 10 Don DiJulia Athletic Director Internship
Description
The Atlantic 10 Conference is accepting applications for the Atlantic 10 Don DiJulia Athletic Director Internship. In order to receive the Don DiJulia designation, the candidate must submit a 250-500 word essay on their career aspirations to become a college athletic director. This essay submission is in addition to their standard application for the Administration/Championships Intern. The A-10 Don DiJulia Athletic Director Internship includes two on campus mentoring opportunities within the Atlantic 10 membership in addition to a rotation of administrative responsibilities within the A-10 Office.
Duties
•Assist with the preparation and operation of assigned conference championships.
•Provide support for regular season administration, research, and data management.
•Coordinate community outreach programs for selected sports (i.e. school day and clinics) at the championship
•Assist with host institutions/site preparation and sport committees.
•Provide on-site championship support and staffing as needed.
•Assist with administrative duties within the Conference office including filing, data management, and special projects. . Requirements •Undergraduate degree.
•Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with an emphasis on attention to detail, work ethic, honesty, and loyalty.
•Strong computer skills. Microsoft Office, Photoshop, InDesign
•Volunteer and/or paid experience in sport/event management.

The mission of the Atlantic 10 Conference is to provide an enhanced student-athlete experience through 21 nationally competitive championship sports. The conference is committed to integrity, educational excellence and providing quality equitable championship experiences for its student-athletes, coaches, and support staff. The membership consists of Davidson College, University of Dayton, Duquesne University, Fordham University, George Mason University, The George Washington University, La Salle University, the University of Massachusetts, the University of Rhode Island, University of Richmond, St. Bonaventure University, Saint Joseph’s University, Saint Louis University and Virginia Commonwealth University.
