Responsible for the development and management of a Division I program in accordance with the rules and regulations of the University, Sun Belt Conference and the NCAA.
As the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country, this position will be responsible for overseeing the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field program in areas of coaching technical and tactical aspects of the game, student-athlete recruitment and retention, organization and administration. The director also manages a budget and oversees assistant coaches.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Must possess excellent oral, and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• 4-6 years of collegiate coaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to produce and lead a championship level track and field program
• Evidence of successful recruitment and retention of student-athletes
• Knowledge of Track and Field rules and NCAA Division I rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
• NCAA Division I head or assistant coaching experience
