The Associate Director of Athletic Development provides philanthropic support for Creighton Athletics. Responsibilities include annual and major gift discovery, cultivation and solicitation while also partnering with Creighton Athletics on all donor related events and stewardship outreach. The Associate Director of Athletic Development will work closely with the Senior Director of Athletic Development to increase opportunities for engagement and support locally and nationally for the Athletic Department. This position will carry his/her own portfolio of Athletics donors with a focus on identifying prospects and soliciting gifts supporting the Athletic Major Gifts and Jaybackers programs, while offering direct support for all Athletics donor and fundraising events

-Bachelor's degree required.
-Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated development experience is required.
-Experience with coordinating events is preferred.
-Experience working in customer relations is preferred.
-Demonstrate understanding of how Athletic Departments run in a University setting preferred and experience working with student-athletes, coaches and athletic department personnel.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to speak in a public setting.
-Familiarity with Advance, Reeher or comparable fund-raising database.
-Familiarity with Archtics, Advantage, Paciolin or comparable ticketing and donor database.
-Ability to think strategically and quickly summarize complex and detailed information.
-Ability to extensively travel nationally for athletics events and donor visits including during week nights and over weekends.
-Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and BIG EAST Conference guidelines, policies, rules and regulations with the ability to interpret, apply, enforce and explain such policies and rules.
-Appreciation and understanding of Creighton University's mission and the ability to effectively communicate it.
