Responsible for the recruitment of executive level positions across the organization. This role will personally represent Dick's Sporting Goods to potential external candidates for executive level roles within the company. The role will create an executive level recruiting strategy for key current and future executive roles, build and maintain a network of potential current and succession candidates, drive assessment and selection of top talent and commitment to the organization. With dual reporting relationships to both the SVP – Chief Human Resources Officer and the Vice-President of Talent Strategy, this position involves a high level of visibility and interaction with executive leadership across all functional areas.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Aligns long-term talent strategy with business strategy by collaborating with executive leaders to develop a future-focused talent acquisition approach tied to the organization’s key strategic plan.
• Partners with stakeholders to deliver a “differentiated” candidate experience throughout the entire executive level recruiting process.
• Utilizes a wide network of business contacts to develop and maintain a highly qualified executive management talent pool.
• Engages with passive candidates to deliver a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, uses creativity and influence to find candidates and engage desirable.
• Analyzes trends, metrics and business needs to develop highly effective proactive sourcing strategies to ensure an ongoing pipeline of top talent to fill new and replacement executive positions (includes key positions).
• Establish & maintains effective and collaborative working relationships with executives, hiring managers and members of the HR team in order to create a seamless and highly efficient executive sourcing and selection workflow.
• Develops and employs effective communication and feedback designed to maximize information exchange.
• Demonstrates a high level of professional drive, while utilizing the latest executive recruitment tactics and best practices to stay ahead of the competition.
Key Qualifications
• Proven track record of attracting, assessing, negotiating and gaining commitment of executive hires to join an organization.
• Strong experience and knowledge in executive level passive candidate sourcing – through online tools as well as leveraging a personal network.
• Ability to build and mine a deep and broad contact list of executives and potential executives across the retail industry and across industries.
• Ability to maintain a working knowledge of top talent across the external marketplace.
• Deep assessment and selection skills – ability to determine potential, culture fit and long term capability through limited interactions and interviews with candidates.
• Exceptional negotiating and influence skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and bias toward action.
• High energy, positive ambassador of the Dick's Sporting Goods employee brand.

Education Requirement:
• Bachelor's degree in related field strongly desired (Human Resources, Business, or related fields)
Experience Requirement:
7-10 years of executive recruiting experience, preferably with executive search firm and/or agency experience
