Senior Director, Information Technology
We’re not looking for a technician, we are looking for a super hero technical visionary. Someone who can see the potential and can define the path to get there.
At one moment they can talk bits and bytes and SQL, legacy systems, networks, licensing, JSON, Windows Server with the technical staff, and the next moment they can paint a picture that will inspire the executive to get behind their vision.
Summary
We are looking for a person to lead our hockey group with a IT vision who has the following values:

You would oversee our systems integration, training, process development, software applications development, and help desk functions. From phone systems to user interfaces, we will need your expertise to dig into our system for understanding of how we use it, then help us maximize it for business benefits. You would also manage and evaluate our various outside IT vendors.
Technical Details
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in IT, IS or Computer Science. MBA a plus.
• Eight (8) or more years of network administration in a 50+ user environment installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining servers, telecom, apps and software, and peripheral hardware /equipment.
• At least 3 years of IT supervisory experience with abilities to lead, engage and develop IT team members.
• At least 3 years of IT strategic planning and budgeting experience.
• Ability to deliver high quality, timely results to ensure maximum up time and proven record of creating cost-effective solutions to technology challenges.
• Experience developing policies, procedures and user education to ensure compliant, secure and efficient utilization and optimization of all technology resources.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills to work with cross-functional work teams on a variety of opportunities.
• A positive, innovative and consultative attitude for serving others and going the extra mile to provide customized solutions and enhancements based upon each departments' needs.
• Previous disaster preparedness and recovery experience.
• Previous vendor and contract management experience.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure and produce measurable results.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) complex issues to users at all levels.
• Technical competence using:
◦ Current: Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003, SQL Server 2003. Various other legacy systems including VPNs, FTP sites, IIS, etc.
◦ Future Deployments: Windows Azure Services including Office 365
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a work group or major project team.
• Hands-on and results-oriented, with the ability to balance multiple projects and multiple sites simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing processes, responsibilities, and work environments and make independent decisions quickly.
• Well-developed communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of employees/clients.
• Effective motivator and self-starter.
• Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines, at multiple sites, while managing a heavy workload.
• Lead teams in ambiguous situations to find the best solution to problems while gaining corporate consensus to the solution.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated abilities as a high performer.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule.
• Willingness to travel
