The Assistant Director for Compliance will coordinate Monitoring Activities of NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and policies. Monitor and educate our staff on the NCAA, Big Ten and Purdue University rules and policies. Provide research and recommendations with educational outreach regarding NCAA or Big Ten rules (e.g., initial eligibility).

Bachelor's degree required (no specific field of study)
Two (2) years of compliance-related work experience in intercollegiate athletics required
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, instruct and effectively communicate complex rules, regulations and policies from the University, Big Ten Conference and NCAA. Ability to effectively communicate with coaches, administrators, student-athletes, parents, faculty, staff, and high school staff members.
Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), planning, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, analytical, and customer service skills. Interpersonal skills in dealing sensitively with a wide variety of constituents necessary. Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting business processes. Personal computer and related software skills, e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, etc., necessary.
