In this position you will be responsible for the oversight of the financial and human resources operations as well as the business operations staff of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Specific accountabilities include:
• Construct annual budget and provide updated financial projections throughout the fiscal year.
• Work with senior financial leadership in Administration and Finance office on capital financing plans or construction projects.
• Review financial contracts and serve as primary contact for UH Office of Contracts Administration.
• Review and approve financial transactions including deposits, expenditures, journal entries, etc. for all cost centers within Athletics. • Oversee all Human Resources functions including employee recruitment, onboarding, employment contract management, termination; serve as primary contact for the UH HR office.
• Direct oversight of Athletic Equipment Room staff and operations.
• Assist in management of the IMG partnership to maximize corporate sponsor revenue.
• Performs other job-related duties and assigned. COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 7 years of directly job-related experience, a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
