SALARY:Total compensation for this position is up to $16,000, which is paid at a rate of $14.01 per hour. Staff members may be eligible for additional monthly performance bonuses based on ticket sales goals.
The Ohio Ticket Sales Team (started in 2012) has a record of seeing employees successfully move into full-time employment following their completion at OHIO. Many past sales team members are now involved in positions throughout collegiate and professional sports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position is a ten (10) month part-time term position. The position will be involved in the strategic development, implementation, and activation of ticket sales and marketing strategies, with a core focus on Football and Men’s Basketball.
This position is part of the Ohio Ticket Sales Team in partnership with Legends Sales & Marketing (Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees) and the Ohio University Center for Sports Administration. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the development and execution of departmental sales and marketing strategies (including reaching sales targets and goals), manage, create and track sales databases, develop call scripts, as well as call-flow, objection and closing strategies, direct prospecting and lead-generation efforts for season, individual game and group sales, analyze sales data and develop postseason recaps of selling efforts, and assist in the execution of game day sales and marketing efforts. Each staff member will also serve as the primary marketing contact for one Olympic sport (baseball, field hockey, soccer, softball, volleyball, women’s basketball and wrestling) while supervising other aspects of the fan experience. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

A bachelor’s degree required.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills; be proficient in a variety of software products; demonstrate the ability to work on projects individually, as well as within a team; be able to handle multiple tasks at one time and have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
Experience with ticketing software systems is preferred.
The candidate must display the highest of ethical standards and commitment to the overall success of Ohio Athletics. The candidate is expected to act within the parameters of institutional control and is responsible for conducting all activities in compliance with NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Ohio University rules and regulations.
