Job Description
The Director of Marketing, West Region is responsible for the development and implementation of regional and local marketing strategies that will grow the Equinox brand across our CA portofilio (SF, LA and OC). This role works in close collaboration with the Region’s leadership team and the National Brand Marketing team to develop strategic initiatives and partnerships that will drive brand positioning and awareness within the region. To be successful, it will be critical that the Marketing Director fully understand the market and member profile, key business drivers and challenges and is an excellent project manager and collaborator.
• Lead development and execution of LA, SF and OC regional brand strategies and annual marketing plans.
• Partner with national brand team to locally launch new programs, marketing campaigns and member experience touch points.
• Develop network of local partners and influencers with the goal of driving local buzz and building brand awareness through collaboration on special projects, social media & in-club experiences.
• Consistent pulse on cultural landscape and the luxury market – an understanding of what is new, now, next – and how can we leverage these insights and partners to elevate our brand positioning
• Support planning and execution of local events, act as host when appropriate (in-club & external events).
• Evaluate all lead driving efforts. Provide any relevant insights & learnings and pivot accordingly.
• Establish strong relationships with Regional Leadership & Club teams and supports general strategic collaboration and sharing of market insights/directives.
• Plan and manage local member-driven communications and events.
• Develop and execute marketing plans for all new clubs in collaboration with Presale team.
• Manage 2 direct reports.
• Build and maintain an understanding of the in-club experience, member profile, and unique challenges and dynamics of each market/club.
• Work closely w/ Corporate PR to support local initiatives.
• Lead analysis of brand health and relevance and development actionable plans, where necessary.
• Maintain close working relationship with all Corporate Sales & Marketing departments to ensure seamless Corp/Field collaboration & communication.
Qualifications
The Marketing Director, West Region candidate should have 8-10 years of event/experiential experience, partnership experience, and field marketing experience. The position will be based in LA with travel expected to support local markets. This individual should have a track record of success in marketing innovation and leadership, partner development and execution, project management and event production. The role requires someone that can be effective working within large project teams cross-functionally, is comfortable working outside of company headquarters, is detail oriented and enjoys working within a collaborative team environment.

Experience:
• BS/BA required
• Preferably 8-10 years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on experiential and partnerships
• Prior experience in field marketing, promotions, sponsorships. .
