About the Position: The position of Director of Creative Media will be a vital member of the Marketing & Communications team. The position will be responsible for creating, managing and maintaining impactful content that strategically grows the Vanderbilt Athletics brand in all external communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Will provide oversight and lead execution of all digital content across vucommodores.com and social media platforms and guide his/her team to ideate, create, design and execute content and strategy. Developing creative content that enhances revenue streams through fan engagement and experience, brand awareness, advertising and public relations strategies – including collaborating with the ticketing and marketing departments to help push sales initiatives via vucommodores.com and the department’s social media channels.
• Manages creative development and deployment of digital, social, mobile and video content for communications and branding initiatives surrounding Vanderbilt athletic events. Provides direction and oversees execution of comprehensive, integrated strategy related to digital content.
• Will supervise the Social Media Coordinator - including training, mentoring, evaluating performance and handling performance.
• Will assist the Department of Athletics with its digital communications initiatives in order to extend custom content across multiple platforms, including, but not limited to web, mobile, social, video, etc.
• Will be responsible for tracking and applying social media analytics to ensure quality and sound plan strategies.
• Serves as liaison to Director of Video Services to ensure total integration of video content across all channels.
• Will work with Vanderbilt University’s digital communications team on special projects.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD/Communications.
