The Long Island University Post department of Athletics is seeking an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications/Graphic Design.
Long Island University Post is seeking applications for the full time position of Assistant Director of Athletic Communications/Graphic Design.
Responsibilities will include serving as the primary Athletic Communications contact designated sports.
The successful candidate will also possess strong proficiency in the area of graphic design and will work with the University graphic design department and Associate Athletic Director with the objective of enhancing the athletic department’s presence on digital and social platforms.
The successful candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, a good communicator and possess the ability to handle numerous assignments in a timely manner with the flexibility to adjust to unscheduled developments involving immediate attention.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Sports Management, Graphic Design or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in media relations field
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
• Expertise in PhotoShop, InDesign and/or other Adobe Creative Suite software with proven skill in the area of graphic design
• StatCrew software experience prefered
