Job Description
ACTIVE Network is seeking a Senior Director for our Information Security Team. This person will join a team that works to ensure security of all foundational components that comprise Active's public-facing SaaS products along with internal tools and architecture. They will work closely with many other parts of the organization including development, QA, Network, DBA and Architecture to secure and monitor our world-class systems.
Responsibilities:
• Manage team that ensures the security of company electronic information
• Establish security systems to prevent others from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs
• Establish appropriate firewall standards and criteria
• Design and implement security policies to control access to systems
• Lead the development and publishing of up-to-date security policies, standards and guidelines, and the enterprise- wide training and dissemination of security policies and practices
• Manage research and development activities to assess need, analyze costs and benefits, and develop strategies for deploying and integrating progressive security techniques and procedures
• Create, communicate, and implement a risk- based process for vendor risk management, as well as coordinate, the use of external resources involved in the information security program
• Coordinate the use of external resources involved in the information security program, including, but not limited to, interviewing, negotiating contracts and fees, and managing external resources
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
• Provide guidance to team within latitude of established company policies and operational policies in selection methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Advanced knowledge as it relates to troubleshooting, analysis, investigation, and resolving problems quickly and effectively
• Deep understanding of security best practices for Linux and Windows systems
• Excellent understanding of various IT security concepts as they relate to production environments
• The ideal candidate will be experienced in the area of information technology and privacy. They will be a consensus builder with a track record of integrating people and processes to drive a cohesive security strategy for a globally complex and diverse enterprise
