Description
•Coordinate the development and implementation of a proactive media outreach program to print, radio, TV, and other electronic media outlets.
•Prepare media releases to communicate with the general public news and information about the college’s athletics program and teams. •Serve as the public relations manager for the Athletic Department in developing positive relations with media representatives from the electronic and print media.
•Oversee production of media guides, publications, and game-day materials for all sports.
•Supervise and assign student assistants for various game management functions required for each sporting event, and intramural activities.
•Oversee maintenance of Athletics web site.
•Compile statistical information, using StatCrew, research and maintain current and historical records.
•Coordinate all materials for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
•Coordinate with the Athletic staff per-game, and post-game events (e.g. Parent night, senior night, athletic banquet, etc.)
•Develop and oversee a comprehensive College intramural and recreation program plan and develop a wide range of activities to include a variety of interests.
•Supervise most intramural events and ensure supervision of others, including undergraduate and graduate students.
•Control and maintain inventory for all intramural sports.
•Prepare and disseminate policies and information for intramural programs.
•Schedule all intramural events, including; sign-ups, captains meetings, event scheduling, recording of results and sending notices, updating of bulletin boards.
•Work with Athletic Director for scheduling of facility usage.
•Responsible for overall monitoring of College and USCAA compliance regarding student athlete eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree with significant communications (written, oral and computer graphics) experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of the USCAA rules and regulations is required.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. Computer skills, including Desktop Publishing, Internet Web site maintenance, and Statcrew/The Automated Scorebook statistical software packages are strongly preferred. Ability to work in a team setting and work effectively with a variety of audiences and departments.

• Ability to manage and coordinate several activities using good communication, interpersonal, public relations and administrative skills.
