Sports Information Director Job ID: 201702 Location: Bronx Community College Full/Part Time: Part-Time
Bronx Community College, a member of The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), seeks a Sports Information Director. This individual will serve as the chief communications and social media liaison, as well as the webmaster and statistician, for the Broncos Athletics Department. Chief goals include timely, effective dissemination of information to various outlets, including social media followers, regional media outlets, the NJCAA and CUNYAC, and in-game statistical compilation for all sports using The Stat Crew system.
QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in marketing, communications, or journalism, is required.
• Video streaming, editing experience and knowledge of compliance is a bonus.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• A minimum of 1 to 3 years in Athletics Communications
• Experience compiling in-game statistics through The Stat Crew system is mandatory (live stats streaming preferred)
• Dissemination of information, including statistics and web and social media materials, in compliance with NCAA/NJCAA requirements
• Experience in athletics marketing at the collegiate or professional level
• Experience marketing through social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), ideally in a collegiate or athletics environment
• Athletics webmaster experience, ideally on a Sidearm website
• Home game and on-campus event administration
• Successful nomination of student-athletes for conference, regional, or national weekly and seasonal awards
• Ability to create produce game programs for home events
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Other duties as assigned
COMPENSATION $20,000 (15 to 25 hours per week is required)
