The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Athletics is seeking applications for a Director of Compliance – Rules Education and Interpretation, reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. Responsibilities include: Assist with developing, implementing, coordinating and administering NCAA, ACC and UNC compliance initiatives related to all aspects of compliance. Monitor NCAA, ACC and UNC rules and regulations associated with current student-athletes, former student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, Department of Athletics staff members, University faculty and staff members and representatives of athletics interests. Develop, oversee and maintain a comprehensive rules education program. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s or Professional degree in a related field preferred. All degrees must be from an accredited institution.
Qualifications and experience: Minimum of 5 years full-time experience in NCAA compliance; NCAA Division 1 conference office or FBS preferred. Rules interpretation experience preferred. Demonstrated written communications and interpersonal skills essential. Working knowledge of the NCAA Eligibility Center, Compliance Assistant Internet (CAi), Requests/Self Reports On-line (RSRO) and LSDBi essential.
