Organizational Unit Overview
Provide the vision, leadership and support to maximize opportunities for the university and serve the university community. Also to provide support for the Chancellor in the execution of institutional activities and programs including external relations and special events.
Job Duties
Under the direction of the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, the successful candidate will assist with all day-to-day operations of the Office of Compliance. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Monitoring of recruiting activities outlined in NCAA Bylaw 13
• Monitoring inputted recruiting and countable athletically related activities in ACS Athletics
• Monitoring playing and practice season requirements in NCAA Bylaw 17 and scheduling limitations/requirements for 20 intercollegiate sports in NCAA Bylaw 17 and 20 respectively
• Assisting with the preparation of standard NCAA institutional reports
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of rules education plans for the athletics department and the university's constituency groups, rules interpretations, and playing & practice seasons
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Experience
An advanced degree and at least 2 years of related experience in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of related experience in an appropriate area of specialization.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated strong planning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Familiarity with ACS Athletics (or similar software) is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels is preferred.
