Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Director of Football Social Media/Assistant Director of Player Personnel provides day-to day support services to the intercollegiate football program
Responsibilities include the following;
-Manage all aspects of the varsity football study hall program for student athletes including but not limited to reviewing tutor requests and credentials, arranging tutors, study groups, etc.
-Manage indivdiual responsiblities including scheduling of activities, staff and coordinating attendance of prospective students for football camps and clinics with the primary constituents being prosepective student-athletes being recruited to attend Columbia University -In collaboration with Coaches assists with recruiting operations of prospective student-athletes
-Manage various aspects of recruiting calendar for prospective student-athletes including making negotiating prices with transportation companies and hotels, and making travel decisions in compliance with Ivy League and NCAA rules
-Create posts/graphics for all football social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat) to promote the football team, football alumni and recruiting process for prospective student athletes.
-Responsible for managing the student-athlete complimentary admissions program for football games -Manage operations of selected functions for all football practice and game operations
-Attend all team functions (games, practices, team travel meetings, alumni events, etc.) -Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Ivy League Conference, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations and/or Code of Ethics
-Contributing to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the Department; assuming other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical
Education.
Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required.
2 - 4 years related experience in football or athletic related field, preferably at the collegiate level.
Must demonstrate excellent writing and computer skills: ability to work in a fast paced environment; work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Successful background in intercollegiate athletics as a student-athlete or administrator.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work effectively with students, faculty, administrators, alumni and the public.
- Ability to work within the frame work of NCAA and Ivy League regulations.
