Overview
Employment Status: Full-time, "exempt" position.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Incumbent will be expected to work evening and weekends on occasion.

Typical Activities
California State University, San Bernardino (a Division II member competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association) is accepting applications for the position of Senior Associate Athletics Director. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this individual will oversee the external operations of Cal State University San Bernardino's athletics program. As a member of the Athletics senior leadership team, the Senior Associate Athletics Director will provide strategic level leadership and oversight to marketing, athletic communications, ticketing, game operations and facilities.
California State University San Bernardino is a comprehensive regional university that serves approximately 20,000 students and offers 47 undergraduate, 30 graduate, 1 doctoral degree programs with 13 academic programs with national accreditation. CSUSB is consistently ranked one of the top universities in the Western Region. It is one of twenty-three campuses in the California State University system.
The Senior Associate Athletics Director will supervise Women's Basketball along with other sport programs in addition to managing the department's gender equity and Title IX matters. This individual will partner with the other senior leaders to develop and implement the unit's strategic plan and work with internal and external stakeholders to foster positive relations to facilitate further development and support for CSUSB student-athletes.
Strategic Oversight
Represent athletics department in absence of Athletics Director. Provide experience and insight as member of senior leadership team. Oversee the day-to-day management of external operation units.
Represent CSUSB at the CCAA, NCAA, and other public settings.
Sport Oversight
Provide management of the day-to-day operations for several sport programs, including women's basketball.
Deliver leadership and support for coaching staff. Lead by example while fostering a sense of accountability within the department.
Marketing
Serve as leader of the marketing team to develop and implement overall department marketing strategy and individual sport marketing plans.
Work with campus and community organizations to enhance enthusiasm for the department and awareness of sports schedules; assist with department special promotional events both on and off campus including community outreach initiatives.
Athletics Communications
Oversee Athletics Communications unit.
Ticketing
Oversee the Athletics ticketing sales and operation.
Game Operations & Facilities
Administer the game operations and facilities staff.
Ensure game operations staff provides a total fan experience with excellent customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of related and progressively responsible experience working in intercollegiate athletics is required.
• Must have knowledge of marketing principles with preferred experience overseeing a marketing department.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational experience.
• Must have strong work ethic and possess ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
• Excellent administrative and management skills.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with multiple constituent groups.
• Possess a commitment to lead a competitive intercollegiate sports program.
• Possess a commitment to inclusion, community, diversity, and gender equity. Ability to work with diverse populations in a positive manner.
• An appreciation for the University's mission, culture and tradition.
• Possess an understanding of the concept of "team" and a commitment to excellence.
• Working knowledge of university, state, federal, CCAA and NCAA rules strongly desired.
