The University of Louisville Athletic Association is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Marketing. The Assistant Director of Marketing will be an integral part of the marketing team in the Department of Athletics for the University of Louisville-a Division I member of the NCAA and proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. This position's main objective is to market and promote the Louisville Cardinals with the goal of increasing season, single-game and group ticket sales while enhancing fan experience and the overall game presentation. This position reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Branding.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement and execute a comprehensive marketing and ticket sales plan for all assigned sports, which includes outlining promotions and ticket sales strategies, with an emphasis on increasing revenue, raising attendance, and enhancing in-game promotions to maximize the fan experience
• Manage, develop and execute in-venue digital creative on video boards at all campus venues, including but not limited to the creation of still and animation graphics at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and the KFC Yum! Center.
• Oversee the strategy, execution, and management of the department's e-mail marketing campaigns including creating targeted e-mail messages and developing innovative digital concepts.
• Assume overall responsibility for all in-game marketing and promotions associated with assigned home athletic events, including but not limited to: the production of run of show timelines and public address scripts, operation and production of video boards, organization of in-venue music and time-out coordination with band, cheer and dance, as well as activation of sponsorships
• Develop and implement an aggressive advertising plan to increase awareness for assigned sports through print and electronic media, outdoor advertising, web content, community partners, and social media platforms
• Develop and implement strategies to increase and maintain high levels of student involvement
• Develop new ways to promote the Louisville Cardinals as a national brand
• Execute other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in sport administration, business, marketing, communications or a related field and two (2) years of experience in college athletic marketing or a related field with a proven successful experience in achieving marketing plan goals
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) with basic graphic design capabilities and understanding
• Demonstrated experience with forms of new media including, but not limited to: website, social media, video, mobile, and/or e-mail marketing campaigns
• Embody a strong work ethic , possess a desire to work in collegiate athletics, and have strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work an extensive night and weekend work schedule
• General knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree in sport administration, business, marketing, communications or related field is preferred
• Demonstrated progressive, results-oriented marketing experience at a NCAA Division I (including FBS football) or professional sports level
• Three (3) years of experience in college athletic marketing or a related field with a proven successful experience in achieving marketing plan goals
