The purpose of this position is to maintain all aspects of the Uris Swim Center including recruiting, hiring, training, supervising lifeguard staff and enforcing aquatics safety policies and procedures. This role will also be responsible for training and certifying all student, part-time and officer personnel in accordance with the law and department of Health.
Characteristic Duties And Responsibilities;
-Assist with the Recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of all lifeguard staff. Perform lifeguarding duties when needed
-Assist in the maintenance of all records, in accordance with law for pool maintenance, staff training and certifications, program member attendance and participant skills, and Department of Health
-Provide assistance with enforcing aquatics safety rules consistently and fairly. Maintain positive relationships with members and staff. Maintain proper health and aquatics safety standards
-Report all issues concerning the pool schedule, safety equipment, all swimming programs to University Facilities and/or Associate Athletics Director for Facilities Operations and Capital Projects
-Assist with management for some aspects of the staff at the Dodge Physical Fitness Center including: hiring and supervising
-Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned by The Associate Athletics Director for Facilities Operations and Capital Projects.
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
Certified lifeguard instructor trainer
Experience needed 0-2 years.
