The University of Arizona seeks a Director, Women’s Gymnastics and Women’s Soccer Operations. The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the efficient operation of the gymnastics and soccer office. This is a non-coaching position which will coordinate the logistics related to coaches’ and team travel, organize team functions, assist with paperwork, and liaison with department support services. Requires irregular hours during the season, evening hours, and travel. The University’s strength in undergraduate education and scientific research is paralleled by its excellence on the playing fields, courts and other venues of its 20-sport Intercollegiate Athletic Program. •Coordinate Travel: Work alongside Shorts Travel to organize team flights, hotels, and meals; Develop Schedules and Itineraries; Monitor travel budget and complete recaps/reimbursements; Make alternate arrangements when unexpected situations arise •Administrative Responsibilities: Manage daily/weekly/monthly meetings and agendas; Supervise student managers; Assist with the coordination of recruiting visits; Compliance Recording
•Team Functions and Events: Coordinate facility and practice schedules; Organize team meals; Manage Community Relations Events; Assist with Alumni Outreach; Be the point of contact for visiting teams;
•Liaison with Department Services: Communicate with various internal groups such as Marketing, Media Relations, Development, Ticketing, Events, CATS Academics, and Compliance;
•Performance of all other duties and special projects as assigned by the head coaches
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks
• This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job responsibilities. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy is required.
