POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate is responsible for planning, developing, and executing a comprehensive annual giving program designed to continue building support for Cougar Athletics, and implement and manage season and group ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and associated activities. The Assistant Athletic Director for Development will report directly to the Associate Athletic Director, with secondary reporting to the SR. Associate Athletic Director and the Director for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Travel is essential to be successful in this position and evening and weekend work will be involved in this position as well.
Coordinate the Cougar Pride Club (Annual Fund), including but not limited to all solicitation, cultivation, stewardship and donor relations through fund drives, phone calls, mailings, visits and active solicitation of donors and potential donors.
Identify, solicit, and steward corporate partnerships under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Advancement.
Working cooperatively to solicit and sell new season tickets and group ticket sales, in coordination with the Assistant Director of Athletic Business and Ticket Management.
Implement promotional ticket sales strategies and operations for city, state and regional exposure for Cougar Athletics.
Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward gift prospects under $10,000 in support of the University of Sioux Falls (USF) Athletics by matching and advancing the USF’s fund-raising priorities with prospective donors’ interests for unrestricted and restricted athletic support with the vision and mission of the institution.
Generate, implement and coordinate game day events and promotional activities, as well as annual fund donor events, in coordination with the USF Athletic staff.
Attend game day contests and provide set-up, support, and management of all donor relations and corporate partnership activities (hospitality, Cougar Pride Club, game day contests and promotions) as well as other game day duties as required and assigned.
Coordinate and execute all athletic special events (Hall of Fame, SID Shootout, other fundraisers) and solicits donor, partner, and staff participation in participation with appropriate University partners, including but not limited to departments, staff, and faculty.
Build and implement a strategic marketing plan, including email, mailings, social media, phone calls, and in-person visits in coordination with the strategic marketing plan, and under the supervision of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, and in coordination of the Director of Marketing and Communication or designee.
Within purview of position, enforcement of NCAA, conference and institutional policies and procedures as it affects donor and partner relations.
Comply with all USF policies and regulations, and also with outside agencies' policies and regulations, including but not limited to Title IX (Mandatory Reporter), Clery Act, NCAA, NSIC, Department of Education, Clery Act, FERPA, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Justice.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree required
•Higher education experience preferred
•Commitment and ability to articulate the Christian mission of the University
•Experience with fund raising, sales, marketing, business or similar essential with the ability to build and sustain business relationships
•Demonstrated success in event planning preferred
•Proven planning and organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities in a fast-paced environment
•Exceptional communication skills: written, oral and listening
•Demonstrated strong work ethic contributing to a strong team effort and departmental success
•Proficient with desktop computer, Microsoft Office Suite, internet, printer/fax/copier
•Travel is necessary with a valid driver’s license, the ability to successfully pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license and lift up to 25 lbs. required.
