The Business, Sports & Alumni Division of ClubCorp is looking for candidates to train for a period of 8 – 16 weeks at a designated Club and then be able to relocate to a new ClubCorp Club as the Membership Director.
This Membership Sales Director in Training position will be working and training at Center Club Orange County.
The Membership Director nurtures relationships with existing Members so that they will invite their friends and colleagues to join (resulting in “Membership by Invitation”). In addition, they attend activities with Members and their guests in order to demonstrate “Pride in Belonging.”
The Membership Director ensures the enrollment process is complete and records Membership profile information. S/he is responsible for achieving the Club’s Membership sales goals.
In addition, s/he generates a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals. The Membership Director is an advocate and ambassador of STAR Service and understanding the critical role that Membership and exceeding expectations play in regards to the success of the operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for achievement of Membership Department's sales plan, goals and objectives following all guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Protect and maintain the Club’s membership policy of “membership by invitation”.
• Liaison with Accounting Department of membership processing for membership enrollments, upgrades, attrition, processing of joining fees, establishing Member files, computer input, ordering of membership cards, and informing staff of membership activity
• Along with Membership Directors and Member Relations staff make certain an orientation session is conducted for each new Member.
• Responsible for the function of a Membership Committee whose purpose is geared toward the generation of prospects and new members
• Oversee Social Media Campaign by managing Social Media Manager.
• Attend all membership sales meetings, staff meetings and General Employee meetings as established by the General Manager. Work closely with the entire staff at the club to ensure the Members are receiving the best in Member Services.
Job Requirements
• Two years external sales experience or one year within ClubCorp.
• Proven track record of sales performance.
• High-energy, outgoing personality.
• Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
• Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, employee partners and other community leaders.
• Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance.
• Applicant must possess a passion for providing high quality Member service and commitment to exceeding expectations.
