JOB SUMMARY:
Manages nutrition practices for student-athletes at Clemson University in 18 sports programs. Assesses and counsels student-athletes. Provides team-specific recommendations. Serves as a resource on performance and medically related diets, supplementation and body composition. Recruits and manages student workers and interns. Collaborates with food service providers to monitor and deliver Training Table and pre-season meals. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Nutrition Advising: Assesses and counsels student-athletes in 18 sports on optimal nutrition practices for training, practice, competition, recovery from training, recovery from injury or illness, weight management, hydration and supplementation. Provides team-specific recommendations according to training cycle. Develops, coordinates and teaches nutrition, cooking and grocery shopping programs for student-athletes. Advises on travel nutrition team meals, and snacks.
25% - Essential - Program Management: Serves as a resource and participates as a member of an inter-disciplinary team with Associate Athletic Director for Performance, Sports Medicine, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Psychologist and Academic Support Services to prescribe performance- and medically-related diets. Assesses supplementation. Evaluates body composition.
15% - Essential -Personnel Management: Recruits, leads and assigns full-time dietetic staff, students and volunteers.
10% - Essential - Budget Management and Facility Collaboration: Works with University's food service provider to deliver and monitor Training Table and pre-season meals, Tiger Fuel to GO, and fueling stations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Salary commensurate with experience and credentials.
