NFL ALUMNI MISSION OVERVIEW:
NFL Alumni (NFLA) is the nation's most recognized and well respected organization committed to better serving, informing, and promoting retired NFL players. In addition, NFL Alumni supports local and national charitable initiatives, especially those benefitting youth.
RESPONSIBILITES:
The Director- Membership Engagement will coordinate and be accountable for the recruitment, addition and retention of alumni members who may include retired NFL players, coaches, club executives and cheerleaders. The director also will be responsible for attracting NFL fans as NFLA Associate members.
Develop communication and retention/membership recruiting strategy to keep NFLA members and add more members
Develop membership strategy at the national and local chapter level linked to events that will attract and motivate existing non-member alumni to join
Manage and be accountable for CRM database
Identify technology solutions to facilitate growth in membership and improve the value of membership for individuals
Train and educate national staff, board members and local chapter presidents in order to grow membership
Have oversight of budget for membership department
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience growing membership for a membership organization. The candidate will be strategic, creative and self-motivated with the experience and vision to reach membership candidates with innovative messaging, incentives and direct marketing/social media. An understanding of how to turn 'cold prospects' into 'paying members' is essential. The candidate needs to demonstrate an ability and a track record of multi-tasking under deadline and working successfully with colleagues who are located across the country. A working knowledge of social media channels. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop).
