Francis Marion University, an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Peach Belt Conference, invites applications for the position of “Director of Compliance.” The Director will maintain, organize, and submit all records pertaining to compliance with NCAA and Peach Belt Conference rules while also performing certification of eligibility of student-athletes per FMU and NCAA guidelines.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Prepares and submits all institutional compliance, transfer, student-athlete eligibility, squad list, and legislative waiver, and forms to the NCAA, FMU, and Conference when needed.
•Prepares all official visits and NLI documents.
•Monitors all academic eligibility and progress of student-athletes.
•Works with Financial Aid, Admissions Office, Registrar, Human Resources, and FAR as appropriate; informs and updates contracts with relevant NCAA legislation and news.
•Organizes NCAA mandatory student-athlete meetings.
•Maintains knowledge of all NCAA rules and is lead contact on rules interpretations for department of athletics and university faculty and staff.
•Assist with game management of home athletic contests
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Strong computer skills are required
