The Assistant Director of Compliance works in conjunction with other Compliance staff to oversee all processes, procedures and systems necessary for the department to comply with NCAA and conference rules and regulations for an NCAA Division I FBS member institution. The Assistant Director of Compliance will work cooperatively with Athletics Department staff, coaches, student-athletes, prospects, and various constituents outside of the Athletics Department to help ensure compliance with NCAA and Big Ten regulations. Responsibilities include: managing institutional and outside financial aid, recruiting, camps and clinics, playing/practice seasons, and eligibility; draft NCAA and Big Ten waivers and reports, collaborate in coordinating and administering rules education for administrators, coaches, support staff, student-athletes, and booster groups; and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of NCAA compliance or related experience required.
Must demonstrate good organizational skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy, even when multi-tasking.
Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment without constant supervision.
Master’s or law degree preferred. NCAA Division I compliance experience is preferred.
Knowledge of policies, rules, and regulations governing the Big Ten conference preferred.
