The Job:
Reporting directly to the SVP - Partnerships and Content Monetization (based in our U.S. office), TMHQ seeks a passionate, committed, highly-connected, energetic sales development individual to capitalize on our outstanding brand awareness and heavily participated/trafficked European events.
This role delivers impactful revenue to TMHQ, builds relationships with top companies and drives brand awareness. For the TMHQ partners, it’s a way of associating their property with a best-in-class property and establishing new ways to drive ROI for their business.
The Work:
• Prospect, solicit, develop proposals and negotiate partnership sales
• Lead contract management and performance of Tough Mudder’s merchandise program
• Lead contract negotiations with new and existing partners
• Drive renewal negotiations and develop new business initiatives to upsell to existing partners
• Collaborate with Tough Mudder’s internal departments including Product, Operations and Marketing to develop partnership rights that are innovative and deliverable
• Manage sales pipeline and tracking system
• Utilize existing network to approach and target new partners
• Establish key contact points at target companies, key man identification and marketing decision making cycles
• Respond to further information requests with detailed and well-presented analysis
• Responsible for on-boarding new partners
• Develop strategy and market prioritization for 2018 onwards
• Run process to identify all potential partners in target markets
• Collaborate with international team to establish success of 2017 partners
• Oversee a team who develops the on-site sponsor activations and work closely with the operations team to deliver the right partner experience in the UK and Germany
• Maintain records for post-event recaps, information packs and other KPIs to share with partners

• Must be able to work long, irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Proven ability to focus on delivering results and achieving sales targets
The Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years of business development experience, preferably selling sponsorships for a sports or event property
• Relevant experience in commercial negotiation and strategy setting
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Proven database of partner contacts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & online research
• Experience with Salesforce preferred
• Experience in multiple European countries preferred
• Willingness to be based in London but travel around UK and Europe up to 40% of the year including attending events
