Niagara University invites applications for Assistant Director of Recreation and Intramurals. The Assistant Director of Recreation and Intramurals is responsible for the organization, administration, and supervision of Niagara University's intramural and recreational sport programs; assists in management of the University's recreation and athletic facilities, will assist in all operations associated with revenue generating programs, and will implement new programs that will meet the leisure needs of the University Community.
Required qualifications include
a Bachelor’s degree in recreation, sports management, physical education, or related field and related experience required.
Must have at least 24 weeks of previous administrative or supervisory experience in recreation and camping or equivalent acceptable to the State Commissioner of Health.
Master’s degree and related field experience are preferred.
Position will be required to submit a form entitled "Prospective Children's Camp Director Certified Statement Relative to the conviction of a Crime of the Existence of a Pending Criminal Action" to the Department of Social Services State Central Register of Abuse and Maltreatment.
The local permit-issuing official will determine that the camp director has no criminal conviction record for which: employment as a camp director would involve an unreasonable risk to the property or the safety or welfare of camp participants or the general public.
Valid driver's license required.
License must meet insurance company rules and regulations for driving underwriting criteria.
Must take and pass Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR instructional classes.
