Coe College is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Athletics and Recreation. This is an exciting time for a new Director with the College opening a new athletics complex in August.
This position requires positive team leadership with demonstrated competence in program development and administration, collaborative decision making, and successful experience as a program administrator in both athletics and recreational programming.
The Director of Athletics and Recreation is responsible for successful direction of all athletic activities, coordination of athletic events, and recruitment of student-athletes, while maintaining the highest level of ethical and legal standards. This position is responsible for the athletic department budget, revenue development planning, and applicable fundraising for the college, and is a liaison to the NCAA for Division III to ensure adherence to regulations and requirements.
This position creates a successful environment for recruitment, retention and leadership of coaching staff and administration, and for maintaining an open and inclusive environment for all students who utilize athletic facilities.

• Master’s degree required, preferably sports management or administration; 5-7 years of athletic administration experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of a background check.
