The Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions manages day-to-day marketing and promotional efforts in support of ticket revenue and fan attendance generation, primarily for football and men's and women's basketball. The Assistant Director is also responsible for production and in-game aspects of football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball events.
Responsibilities include;
-Developing and implementing marketing plans to maximize season ticket, individual event ticket and group ticket sales; this includes renewals and the generation of new ticket purchases for football, men and women's basketball.
-Developing and implementing a marketing and promotions plan for designed to increase spectator attendance at ticketed athletics events. -Maintaining marketing activities on Department's social media sites.
-Managing a grass roots marketing program on campus and in the local community. Supervising in-event entertainment, including video board and music production, as well as activities of the cheerleaders, dance team, pep band, mascot, emcee, anthem performers, in-event entertainment, and contest promotions for revenue-generating sports.
-Managing efforts in support of promotion of non-revenue sport programs
2-4 years of related sports marketing experience, preferably in college athletics
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Demonstrated experience in digital marketing with significant hands-on social media experience
Demonstrated experience with in-game entertainment
Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and a cleared driving history report.
