Ripon College invites applications for a Director of Cross Country/Track and Field beginning July 1, 2017. Ripon College is completing a $22 million expansion of athletic facilities, including 65,000 square foot fieldhouse designed to be the best Division III indoor track and field facility in the upper Midwest. With this new facility in place, Ripon College intends to build a premiere track and field/cross country program, and seeks a Director with the vision to realize that ambition.
The Director is responsible for the management and administration of Division III Cross Country and Track and Field programs including serving as head coach for track and field and/or cross country, scheduling and overseeing the track and field/cross country budgets, developing, conducting, and supervising regular practice sessions and contests, assigning responsibilities to and supervising all work for assistant coach(es), mentoring and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, and recruiting prospective student-athletes (year-round)
The Director is responsible for compliance with NCAA, MWC, and Ripon College rules and regulations, responsible for planning and conducting summer track and field/cross country camps and clinics, and for performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
The Director will ensure competitive performance of the team and satisfactory growth and development of student-athletes.
Candidates should have an understanding of the role of athletics in a liberal arts setting as well as having demonstrated college level coaching in cross country and/or track.
Bachelor’s degree required,
Master’s Degree preferred.
