Duties
Under general supervision of the Associate Athletics Director for Marketing, Branding and Fan Development, the Director of Athletics Marketing oversees marketing and promotion plans and marketing game day operations. The incumbent manages ticket operations and spirit teams; assists with department special events; operates within the scope of the NCAA, Big West Conference, and University Athletics Department regulations; develop and implements marketing and promotion plans to increase fan affinity, ticket sales, game day attendance; assists with strategic plan for overall department marketing efforts; oversees sponsor activations at all home contests; hires, trains, and oversees student marketing assistants; and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from a fouryear college or university with Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Equivalent to two years of full-time professional or technical experience in public affairs, media relations, digital marketing and/or market research. Two to three years experience in Intercollegiate Athletics and/or Sports Marketing preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
General knowledge of practices, methods, and procedures related to public affairs and marketing programs; working knowledge of protocols and institutional etiquette related to public relations; and basic knowledge of applicable copyright and other laws pertaining to written materials. Ability and specialized skills to: communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing; work independently and effectively as part of a team; exercise tact, discretion, and good judgment; handle sensitive and confidential information; manage multiple events simultaneously; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; and possess strong computer skills including word processors (i.e. Microsoft Office; Adobe; Photoshop; etc.), spreadsheets, and databases. Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Additional Salary Information: Hours: Full-Time 40hrs/wk? will include some nights, weekends and holidays.
