The Division of Athletics at the University of Dayton is currently accepting applications for Director of Corporate Development. The University of Dayton, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference and Pioneer Football League, has a broad-based, 17-sport intercollegiate athletics program. The Director of Corporate Development is responsible for the management of our Corporate Sponsors’ portfolios and in the acquisition, retention and growth of assigned corporate sponsor accounts. The duties of this position include but are not limited to making effective sales presentations, forming strong relationships with corporate clients, activate corporate deliverables, produce and execute corporate contracts, design and produce game day publications relating to corporate sponsors and season ticket holders. This position will direct the Assistant Director of Corporate Development in sales, fulfillment and retention of an assigned portfolio of partners.
Additionally, this position assists in developing and implementing a sales plan for Men’s Basketball tickets, tickets for Football and assisting with Women’s Basketball. This position coordinates new athletics trademark, licensing, activities for the Division within established guidelines and in collaboration with appropriate campus departments. This director will work collaboratively with the ticket office, etc. to assure sales of suite/loge inventory is fully executed and will have responsibility around corporate fulfillment in suite and loges seating areas; and will be required to continually build prospect lists for all sales areas and identify potential donor prospects that emerge from corporate programs. Assisting the event production team with delivery and management for all elements of in-game entertainment for men’s basketball and football, and responsibility for integration with the event management team is also part of this job. All UD Athletics employees are expected to comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations governing the University, the NCAA and the Atlantic 10 Conference. This is a full time, 12-month position with full benefits.

Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, two years’ experience in corporate sales at the intercollegiate athletics or professional sports level, demonstrated experience in all aspects of the corporate sales cycle including: pro-active prospect identification, creative idea generation, presentation construction and fulfillment of corporate partnership proposals, experience with basic software such as Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel), excellent written communication skills and a valid state issued driver’s license, maintains a low risk driving record and is able to be insured by the university.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s Degree, experience with more advanced software related to corporate partnership fulfillment such as digital design platforms (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite) or video board management systems (i.e., Content Studio), responsibility for a partnership portfolio worth at least $500,000 annually, demonstrated experience with basketball related sales and partnership fulfillment and excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
