Lonestar SC San Antonio is recruiting a Player Development Director to manage the administrative and coaching responsibilities of its well established U7-U10 Junior Academy program. The Jr. Academy program currently serves approximately 200 players and is the gateway from internal and local recreation soccer to our competitive programs. This position is also responsible for coaching additional teams (U11-U18) and/or running Technical training sessions as assigned by the DOC.
The Lonestar Soccer Club San Antonio is a 501(c) 3 not for profit organization providing children and families in San Antonio, Texas and the surrounding areas with Junior Academy and competitive soccer programs. The premier club in San Antonio, Texas, LSSA serves over 1300 youth players. LSSA has 9 full-time technical, 18 part-time technical staff and a full/part-time administration team.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in long term player development, appropriate curriculum development, coach recruitment, supervision and development, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and work well as a team player in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Administer player placements,
• Recruiting program coaches,
• Assigning training groups,
• Producing game schedules,
• Organizing regional festival days,
• Providing player & staff evaluations,
• Promoting the Lonestar SC San Antonio long term player development philosophy.
• Communicating frequently with player families and program staff
• Ensuring delivery of dynamic and engaging training sessions for our players.

The PDD U7-U10 Academy reports to the Director of Coaching and works closely with the Boys Academy Player Development Director.
Required:
• At least five (5) years experience coaching players 7-10 years of age
• USSF National Youth License or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to pass a background check prior to employment
• Current immigration status to work in the United States
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and some holidays
• US Drivers License
• Deliver educational material to players, parents and partners
• Have a passion to progress your coaching development
• Experience in Microsoft Office Word, Excel & powerpoint.
Preferred:
• USSF "C" license or NSCAA Advanced National Diploma
• Available to attend Player Observations/Placements in May
• Bachelor's degree; preferably in business, sports management or related field
• Experience using Google Office Suite
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
