Northern Kentucky Soccer Academy is a non-profit select youth soccer organization based along the Ohio River, directly across from Cincinnati. We operate primarily in a three county area of the state. NKSA is a member of the Kentucky Youth Soccer Association. Teams participate in Kentucky State League, Midwest Regional League, as well as competitive leagues in Ohio, based on level of ability.
U11-U14 Age Group Director
-The Age Group Director is both an administrative and coaching position overseeing one gender of NKSA’s U11-U14 program. The position reports directly to, and works with, the NKSA club Director of Coaching and the volunteer Board. The club is seeking one AGD for each gender.
Responsibilities
NKSA U11-U14 Age Group Director would be responsible for the following:
• oversee age group training staff-serve as assistant coach for top teams within Age Group
• observe and interact in weekly training sessions and games within age group
• provide session plans in accordance with club philosophy
• conduct weekly Age Group Training sessions for top teams
• conduct alternating Technical Foundation sessions for Select teams
• conduct group training during winter
• serve as Program Admin for top teams within Age Group *coordinate event selection *coordinate league schedule *coordinate guest playing *coordinate hotels and travel
• coordinate and oversee club hosted tournament for age group-
• coordinate and conduct Age Group winter training for 2nd teams
• communicate with age group coaches and parents where necessary
Requirements
• Strong soccer background with a proven history of designing soccer curriculums which encompass the technical, tactical, physical and psychological dimensions of the games
• USSF C License or higher preferred
• College or higher playing experience preferred
• Minimum of 5 years coaching at the college, hs or club level
• Must be able to work at least 3-4 nights per week, plus some weekend hours
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and coaches, board members, parents, players, volunteers, funders and community partners.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead. Willingness to collaborate. Takes initiative and skilled at developing resources and community partnerships.
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
