Responsibilities:
• Manage the pipeline of national sales team projects to support/drive sponsorship sales and renewals
◦ Understand and synthesize insights and objectives gained from client meetings to aid in the development of the approach and rationale for partnership
◦ Oversee and provide guidance to team members on the creation of customized pitches, proposals and other materials to engage prospective and existing clients, including:
# Providing direction on the development of activation platform & creative
# Media plans, partnership pricing, term sheet and contracts
◦ Track and communicate progress to key constituents
◦ Ensure key deadlines are met
• Frequent communication with internal teams (Partnership Marketing, Sales Operations, Digital, Radio, Research, etc.) to crystalize saleable opportunities
• Participation in external sales meetings and pitches
• Maintain the schedule of weekly calls with the regions, including setting agendas and timely follow up communication
• Regular communication of workflow to VP, Marketing Solutions
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of sports marketing agency or client-based sponsorship account management experience or specific disciplines such as sponsorship marketing, event marketing, media sales and media buying required
• Experience from a collegiate sports property preferred
• Experience with sponsorship contract negotiations, on-site event marketing operations and logistics preferred
• Experience managing the development and implementation of sponsorship marketing strategy on behalf of client or company preferred
• Management experience (demonstrate ability to motivate and develop a team)
• Bachelor's degree required
• Strong ideation skills, including the ability to lead structured brainstorms
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Knowledge & understanding of new media and marketing trends
• Ability to analyze research findings that best demonstrate brand alignment and high index against designated target consumers
• Ability to develop high-stylized, targeted pitches & proposals that bring the partnership and concepts developed to life
• Ability to manage and lead several projects and deliverables at one time
• Excellence in presentation skills, written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management
• Ability to work with/lead cross-functional teams
• Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
• Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); Photoshop experience preferred
• Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
