Manhattan College is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Sports Medicine. Main sports responsibility is with, but not limited to, Men's Basketball. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the Director of Sports Medicine with the day to day operations of the athletic training room, providing treatment and care to injured athletes, serving as liaison between team physicians, athletic administrators and coaches, maintaining comprehensive medical documentation, assisting with the administering of institutional drug testing program, game/event and practice coverage, team travel, supervision of assistant athletic trainers and work study students, assist with the processing of secondary insurance claims, assist with pre-participation health screens.
Required Qualifications
NATABOC certified, NY State licensed or eligible. CPR / AED certified. Strong computer, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work weekends, evenings holidays and travel.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field. 2-3 years of experience in the college or professional sports setting, preferably with men's basketball. NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist
