Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Athletics will oversee sales of the ticket office on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Athletics, supervise and manage the daily sales of the Athletics Ticket Office, including functions at campus-hosted ticketed events, select road games, and post-season events. (30%)
2. Process ticket orders for season, individual, group, and mini plan ticket packages for all sports. Responsible for the processing of ticket invoices and payments. (20%)
3. Work closely with the Tulane Athletics Fund to assist with premium ticket sales, donor relations, and fund development. (20%)
4. Supervise, manage, and mentor a strong outbound sales team (phone and in-person) for season, group, mini-plan, and other ticket packages. Responsible for strategies to maximize sales and renewals with an emphasis on driving online transactions. Work closely with external staff to execute sales plans. Help to constantly update database for all donors and ticket holders. (20%)
5. NCAA Related: Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. (5%) 6. Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Sales and Customer Service. (5%)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ ticket sales experience to include computerized ticket systems experience. OR High School Diploma/equivalent and 9 years’ ticket sales experience to include computerized ticket systems experience.
2. Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships.
3. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use upmost discretion when privy to sensitive information.
4. Must have truly outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Must possess good decision-making skills, solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness.
6. Must have an interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of their job.
7. Ability to interact effectively with customers, coaches, administrators, student athletes and coworkers.
8. Strong organizational, management and leadership skills.
9. Proven ability to multi-task effectively.
10. Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
11. Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and social media.
12. Availability to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.
13. Travel with sport teams for away contests.
14. Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations.
